ABOUT AP IIIT RGUKT COLLAGE
Founding of RGUKT:-
The idea to create iiits in Andhrapradesh came in april 2007,at the request Dr.Rajesher reddy chief minister of Andhrapradesh at that time.He was fully dissatisfied with the opportunities available for the rural people and he decided to setup a three IIITS in the three regions of Andhra pradesh which would give better opportunities for rural students
In march pf 2008, the Ap government created RGUKT by an act of the legislature as a full fledged university which would initially admit roughly the top 1% of the rural students into the three residential compuses
RGUKT Educational Objectives
The primary objective of establishing RGUKT was to provide high quality educational fot the rural youth of Andhra pradesh.The initial goal was that at least the top 1% of the rural youth should got the opportunity to study at RGUKT .In the US, several of the larger universities do have enrolments of 20,000 to 30,000. However not all of them tend to be residential universities. Thus RGUKT, as a green field university, represents a unique experiment in the educational arena.
collage education system is totally based on learning by doing only that means learn yourself and do yourself.
It is the six years integrated course which contains 10+2 that is intermediate which leading to B.tech degree.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
1.Regular Students who passed SSC or Equivalent examination(10th) conducted that year.
2.Age not more than 18 years as on notification is released
3.there is a exception for sc and sc students in terms of age that is 21 years
HOW TO APPLY
They release notification after 10th results announce we need to check the website www.rgukt.in or check in the advertisement on the news papers.

SELECTION PROCESS
a) Admissions will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject, and as per the provisions of Presidential Order, 1974.
b) Latest application will be considered in case of multiple applications.
c) In case of a tie in GPA score, it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence: i. Higher grade in Mathematics, ii. Higher grade in General Science, iii. Higher grade in English, iv. Higher grade in Social Studies, v. Higher grade in 1st Language, vi. Older candidate as per the Date of Birth, vii. Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number. If the tie is resolved with any of the check in the chronological order mentioned above, the next
ANNUAL FEE
a) The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in Schools situated in Andhra Pradesh &Telangana states is Rs.36,000/- per annum( for PUC1 & PUC II) and Rs 40000/- per annum(for four years engineering)
b) Students who are eligible for tuition fee reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Governments have to pay the balance fee after deducting the tuition fee received from the respective State governments from the annual fee of the RGUKT (Students whose parental annual income is below Rs.1.0 Lakh for non SC/ST category and below Rs.2.0Lakh for SC/ST category and who fulfill the other conditions as per the latest Govt. Rules are eligible for fee reimbursement)
c) Every student has to pay a registration fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and a refundable caution deposit of Rs.2,000 (by all), that is a total of Rs.3,000/- (Rs 2,500/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time of admission.
ADMISSION OF STUDENTS FROM OTHER STATES AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
a) There are of 5% are available to students belonging to States other than Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State including the children of Indians working in Gulf Countries / International and NRI students. Admission will be on the basis of merit in the marks/grades obtained in 10th standard examination. Those candidates who got a minimum of 70% of marks alone are eligible for admissions
b) The tuition fee for students from other states and children of Indians working in Gulf Countries is Rs.1, 36,000/- per annum.
